I am a photographer of the Seneca Nation, of the Confederacy of the People of the Longhouse.

I grew up on the Cattaraugus Territory, in Ganöndase', the community of Newtown.

I am Judd Logan, an educated indigenous photographer who finds beauty in the organic and unexpected. My approach is rooted in adapting my style to the environment, the subject, and the moment. Whether I am capturing the raw energy of a sports arena or the quiet intimacy of a nature landscape.

I've been using a camera seriously since 7th Grade, when I began to get involved in the GETC-21, the Public Cable channel for the Gowanda Central School District. It was mostly filming and live-mixing at GETC-21; e.g., sports, BoE meetings, G-Town Showdown talent show, etc..

Around the same time, I started spending my down time at track meets getting acquainted with sports photography, and I still do so on occasion.

My story leaves the valley in the hills as I move on to attend MIT and Syracuse University studying computer science; and then (finally) to graduate from UB with a degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a concentration in Cognitive Science, focused on higher mental processes.

I've always had that knack, a penchant for science and technology. Scientist was the job that best fit my mind. But... I told my kindergarten teacher, Ms. Spaulding <3, that I wanted to be a gift-giver. The way people light up seeing a moment they cherish captured in a photo is among my favorite gifts to give.
